Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Sinclair Tax Services collects through this website, how it's used, and the choices available to you. It does not cover information you provide directly to us in person, by phone, or as part of an engagement to prepare your taxes — that information is governed by our client engagement terms and applicable tax preparer confidentiality rules, not this page.

Information we collect through this site

Contact form. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email, phone number, selected topic, and message. This is processed through Formspree, a third-party form service, and delivered to our office email.

Appointment booking. When you book an appointment through the scheduling widget on our Contact page, that booking is handled directly by Microsoft Bookings, not by this website. Information you enter there (name, email, phone, appointment details) is collected and stored by Microsoft under its own privacy terms, and syncs to our Outlook calendar.

Site analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, general location (city/region level, not precise), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We don't use this data to identify you personally.

Embedded map. Our Contact page embeds a Google Map. Google may set its own cookies when that map loads, governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.

How we use this information

We use information submitted through this site to respond to inquiries, schedule and manage appointments, and understand how people use our website so we can improve it. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Third-party services we rely on

This site uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:

Cookies

This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your visits from being included in our analytics.

Your California privacy rights

As California residents, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of that information, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Data retention & security

We retain contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, and we take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through this site. No online transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information sent over the internet.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
