Every engagement below is handled in-house at our Ridgecrest office — nothing is routed to a national processing center. Read what each service actually includes before you book.
Individual Tax Preparation
We prepare federal and California state returns for W-2 employees, retirees, and self-employed individuals across the Indian Wells Valley. Every return is reviewed against the prior two years of filings so credits and deductions aren't left on the table — mortgage interest, property tax, dependent care, medical expenses, charitable giving, and education credits are all checked against your documentation before we file.
We also handle less common situations: stock sale income, rental income, trust income, alimony, and state refund reporting. If your household includes multiple income sources, we reconcile them into a single, accurate return.

Business Tax Preparation
Running a business is challenging enough without also tracking every federal and state filing deadline. We prepare corporate returns, self-employment tax filings, and payroll tax filings for LLCs, S-corps, corporations, and sole proprietors based in Ridgecrest and the surrounding Kern County area.
Each business return is built around your actual books — not a template — so deductions for equipment, mileage, home office use, and contractor payments are captured correctly the first time, reducing your audit exposure and your total tax liability.
Tax Planning & Strategy
Tax preparation looks backward at a year that's already closed. Tax planning looks forward — structuring income, retirement contributions, entity elections, and major purchases before December 31st so next year's return is smaller and simpler. We meet with planning clients outside of tax season specifically so filing season isn't the first time we've looked at your numbers.
Typical planning conversations cover quarterly estimated payments, S-corp election timing for growing businesses, retirement account contribution strategy, and structuring the sale of property or a business interest to manage capital gains exposure.
Payroll Tax Filings
Quarterly Form 941, annual Form 940, and California state payroll filings, handled on a recurring schedule so you never miss a deposit deadline. We reconcile payroll register totals against filed amounts each quarter and flag discrepancies before the state does.
Late & Amended Filings
Behind on a return, or need to correct one that's already filed? We prepare back-year returns and amended filings (Form 1040-X and its business equivalents), and can help you respond to an IRS notice or set up a payment plan for a balance due.
